Do you think regenerative braking on e-scooters is important feature?

Some escooter brands advertise regenerative braking like it’s a huge advantage. Do you think you can get meaningful range improvements from it. Smooth braking does feel nice though. Have you actually noticed better battery life due to regenerative braking feature? Do you think it is mostly a bonus feature?
