Have you ever been stopped by a police officer or law enforcement officer?

I have on a few occasions seen people getting stopped by the police or by law enforcement officers, but I wouldn't say that it is a lot if I am honest, and I often still see many getting away with breaking laws that they should not be and otherwise would be punished for.

Have you ever been stopped by a police officer or law enforcement officer? What was your punishment for getting caught?

No, I have not been stopped or detained by any law enforcement whatsoever, and this is because I have always ridden within the guidelines laid down in the UK EAPC laws.

This means that all of my Ebike’s I’ve ridden on public roads are the following

• Continuous rated 250w motor
• Speed cap at 15.5mph (25km/h)
• Assist pedal mode only
• No modifications or derestriction

Because I obey the laws, there has never been any reason for me to get stopped. As far as I know, the UK has quite stringent laws on e-bike riding, and hence, everything I ride complies with the definition of an EAPC.

In addition, I ride my bikes sensibly — no irresponsible riding. When you obey all traffic laws and ride predictably, there is no need to draw unnecessary attention to yourself.

In our place, traffic police do routine checks, usually in the evening. I have been stopped by traffic police during regular checks. Sadly a couple of times I have even been handed tickets for not carrying my licence or registration papers.

No I have never experienced that personally. This is because I don’t flaunt the rules, I always observe the speed limit and on appropriate safety equipments.
