Have you ever damaged your e-bike while trying to repair it?

There's a reason why it's not advisable to try repairing your e-bike if you're not good at it or if you're still a newbie at their maintenance. I can remember when I damaged the chain of my e-bike with incorrect installation. It was my last time of trying that maintenance again.
