How do you stand out during night commutes?

Whilst most of us who use e-scooters or e-bikes to commute during the day, there will be people who commute at night, whether that's just heading out to get stuff from the store or maybe you work nights.

When you need to commute at night, how do you stand out to other road users in the dark?

I don’t commue during nights unless it is emergency. Sometimes, when I am returning from work, especially during winter, it gets late and I have to ride with lights on. I don't feel comfortable riding with lights on. I get distracted by the lights from vehicles coming towards me.

I try as much as possible to not ride anywhere at night but sometimes things come up late which I have to attend to. This is why I had an extra lights installed to help illuminate the road and also show others I'm driving through.
