How much is fair to spend on your first ebike?

This question on how much is ideal to spend on getting one's first ebike is one we can't shy away from.

Is it fine for one to go for the most expensive ones spending above $1500 or grab the one below such an amount like the Lectric XP4 that sells within a thousand dollars? How much would you advise someone getting an ebike for the first time to spend?

How much should you spend on your first evike shoukd depends on the reason why you are buying it in the first place. If you want to use it for daily commute, you need to buy a reliable one and it costs a lot of money. But if you are buying for fun activities like weekend riding, there is no need to spend a lot of money.
