What are your thoughts on protected bike lanes?

Personally, I believe that protected bike lanes are often seen as a safer option for cyclists, but some argue that improving shared road access is just as important.

Should cities invest more in protected bike lanes or is it better to make existing roads safer and more accessible for cyclists?

I feel that protected bike lanes are great for keeping cyclists safe and, in a sense, for keeping traffic moving and preventing holdups due to bikes.

I know where I live: we have dedicated bike lanes, which allow those on bikes to use the road while also keeping traffic moving smoothly. They seem to work really well.

Protected bike lines are common in my place, especially in big cities. Even though these lanes are especially created for cyclists, ebike users also ride on these Protected lanes. I think having Protected lanes is good for cyclists and ebikes.
